Lt. Pirtle, C.S.A. 7th KY Infantry Regt., describes the activities of the regt. from 1861-1864. He was a member of Company A, whose members were largely recruited in Graves Co., KY. He describes the attack on Paducah by units under Gen. Forrest, March 25. 1864 (pp.248-256).
