The Filson Historical Society is a unique venue that blends the historic with the modern and provides a stunning background for any event. Several areas of the campus are available to be rented for dinners, retreats, meetings, or parties. The venues have access to free parking and wifi, as well as small catering areas. All The Filson’s rental spaces are handicap accessible.
Please note: to help protect our historic collections, the Filson no longer hosts wedding ceremonies or receptions in any capacity. For more information or for alternate wedding venue suggestions, please feel free to reach out to the Rentals Coordinator.

Caperton Hall: Capacity: 150 ppl seated theater style, 96 ppl banquet style, 175 ppl cocktail reception style
The Owsley Brown II History Center Event Wing: This includes Caperton Hall and Street Hall and the atrium staircase connecting the two.
Ferguson Mansion First Floor: Capacity: 48 ppl banquet style, 70 ppl cocktail reception style
Carriage House First Floor:
Capacity: 32 ppl banquet style, 75 ppl cocktail reception style
