The Filson Sporting Clay Classic benefits the Filson Historical Society (501c3) and helps the organization to continue to fulfill its mission of collecting, preserving, and telling the significant stories of Kentucky and Ohio Valley history and culture. Please join us on October 29, 2021 at The Sporting Club at the Farm, located at 4939 River Road, in New Albany, Indiana for the Filson Sporting Clay Classic! 

The 150-year-old farm offers the ultimate outdoor experience sprawling across 740 beautiful acres nestled along the Ohio River. The Filson Sporting Clay Classic course provides a 15-station target presentation that is both challenging and recreational for all levels of participants. All shooters and skill levels are invited to attend. This will be a rain or shine event.

Participants at the Filson Sporting Clay Classic will enjoy:

  • Complimentary coffee, water, and snacks
  • Catered lunch and beverages after the tournament
  • Safety orientation
  • Trappers at each station
  • 12 or 20 gauge ammunition
  • Swag bag including an event t-shirt
  • Awards ceremony
  • Silent auction before the event

Venue Rental

Spaces Available for Rent Beginning 2022

The Filson Historical Society is a unique venue that blends the historic with the modern and provides a stunning background for any event. Several areas of the campus are available to be rented for dinners, retreats, meetings, receptions, parties, or weddings. The venues have access to 74 free parking spaces and wifi, as well as small catering areas. All of the Filson’s facilities have accessible parking.
