Papers in regard to contract of William G. Lee, produce dealer of Lexington, Ky., with the U.S. Government, through its agents Capt. John A. Morris, Acting Quarter Master, and Capt. D. W. H. Day, Acting Quarter Master, at Lexington, Ky. in November 1864, to furnish forage for public animals, and their failure to furnish transportation as agreed upon in said contract. The papers include Lee's petition for relief and payment of loss and supporting affidavits made from Aug. 29 to Nov. 15, 1865; also correspondence of hls attorney, Mike L. Woods and government officials about the claim in 1865 and 1866.
