Photocopies of typed transcripts of letters and diary entries of Col. Gallup. Describes actions of the 14th Kentucky Volunteer while in the Cumberland Gap in 1862. His 1864 letters talk of trouble back in the Sandy Valley and his doubts that Black troops will help matters.
