Pvt. John Dow, 31, Ohio Infantry Regt., was stationed in Kentucky between October, 1861 and January, 1862. He describes life at Camp Dick Robinson, camp experiences near Somerset, guard duty near Boone's Knob on the Kentucky River and appearance of the battlefield after the Battle of Mill Springs.
