Crittenden writes to his son George B. Crittenden giving his opinion on Kentucky's reaction to the war and the course the state will pursue. He feels Kentucky will remain in the Union. He writes to George D. Prentice in 1862 defendng his son after an attack on him printed in the Louisville Journal.
