Collection consists primarily of 34 letters that Private Thomas J. Bond wrote to members of his family while stationed with the 2nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry regiment in Kentucky and Tennessee (1861-1863). In addition, the collection includes documents referring to his military pension status and his grave registration. Other documents describe the enrollment and military activities of the 2nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry regiment.
