Content

In a 1994 memoir Louis Moseson, a Jew and native of Louisville, Kentucky, recounts his experiences during World War II. Moseson was a corporal in the 36th Infantry Division; his memoir is entitled "1944-1945: World War II as I Knew it." After brief stopovers in Algeria and Italy, Moseson was stationed in France for the duration of the war. Moseson recalls the battles his unit fought, medical treatment for illnesses and injuries, and everyday life as a soldier in the army. (See also the memoir of Howard C. Barish, a fellow Jewish soldier who became friends with Moseson during the war.)
