This collection is compiled of 26 images (.33 cubic feet) of Fontaine Talbot Fox, Jr. and family.
The collection includes photographs of Fox as a child, the family home at Hubers Station,
Kentucky, and Fox, his wife, and their daughters.
Historical Note
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Fontaine Talbot Fox, Jr. (1889-1964) was a cartoonist best
known for his “Toonerville Trolley” series of cartoons. [SEE ALSO: Mss. Mss. SB F791 / 1-2.]
He worked for newspapers in Louisville and Chicago, later moving to New York when his work
was syndicated to about 300 newspapers.
