The records of Bosler Brothers, Inc. include correspondence and invoices related to the company’s work providing leather and shoe supplies to other companies. Also contains letterhead and invoice slips from numerous companies related to leather and shoes in Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, Tennessee, and Ohio.

Historical Note

Bosler Brothers, Inc. was a shoe supply and part dealer operating in Louisville from at least 1917 to 1951. The collection is not a complete representation of Bosler Brothers time in business, and most of the documents are from the period 1919-1929. The company supplied shoe polish, parts of shoes, shoe tools and other goods to shoe stores in Kentucky as well as numerous states bordering Kentucky.

The Filson Historical Society is a unique venue that blends the historic with the modern and provides a stunning background for any event. Several areas of the campus are available to be rented for dinners, retreats, meetings, receptions, parties, or weddings. The venues have access to 74 free parking spaces and wifi, as well as small catering areas. All of the Filson’s facilities have accessible parking.
