Scope and Content Note
Papers consisting of correspondence regarding Price’s World War II experiences from 1942 until the end of the war as an artillery officer. Topics discussed include American newspapers, censorship, economic conditions, descriptions of European countries, and accounts of different war experiences such as night raids, foxholes, Christmas during the war, and some battles. Also included are propaganda pamphlets, photos, clippings, and foreign money. Most original letters also have typewritten copies.

1919 Born in Louisville, Ky.
1941 Graduated from Yale University.
1941- Served in the U.S. Army as an artillery officer who fought in North Africa
1946 and Europe.
1946-1958 Belknap Hardware and Manufacturing.
1958 Formed a furniture distributing company with Bodley Booker, Jr. President Booker-Price Co.
1968 Bought Kentucky Sanitary Bedding Co.
