Membership Levels
Filson for All – $25
The Filson is proud to join the national access program, Museums for All. This program encourages those receiving government assistance to apply for a reduced membership. We invite everyone to experience the Filson as we look to expand our outreach and diversify our audience. This is part of a larger initiative and goal to provide access to anyone for whom cost may be a barrier to visit the Filson.
Reduced membership benefits with digital publications for one adult with an EBT card. Also includes one free hour of research or consulting by phone or email, and a reduced rate of $35 per hour for additional research.
Teacher / Student – $25
Reduced membership benefits with digital publications for one adult with a current student or teacher ID. Retired teachers may also apply.
E-member – $30
- Emailed issues of quarterly Filson newsmagazine and Ohio Valley History journal
- Two guest passes that can be used for a day of research or to attend a program (value not to exceed $15 for each pass)
- One hour of professional research assistance – by phone or email
- Additional research assistance at a reduced rate of $35 an hour ($50 for non-members)
- 10% off image orders
- Access to member-only promotions and special event pricing (Music Under the Trees, Jazz Night, Dine and Dialogue)
***Please note e-members do not receive free admission to our weekly lectures.
Individual – $70
Membership benefits for one adult.
Boone (Family) – $120
Membership benefits for a family (two adults and all children under 18) plus recognition in The Filson newsmagazine and membership in the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Membership Program. For a full list of participating organizations please click here.
Audubon – $250
All Boone level benefits plus 2 free guest passes, and invitations to special exhibit openings.
Clay – $500
All Audubon level benefits plus 4 free guest passes and free professional research consultation with Filson archivists.
Shelby – $1,000
All Clay level benefits plus 6 free guest passes and an annual invitation to dinner with a nationally-recognized historian or author.
Clark – $2,500
All Shelby level benefits plus 8 free guest passes and a free gift Boone membership for the person or household of your choice.
Filson – $5,000
All Clark level benefits plus 10 free guest passes and an annual free use* of a Filson event space.
