The scrapbook provides newspaper documentation of damage from the Ohio River flood of 1937. This includes the roles of different people, such as the police, the federal government, teachers, journalists, radio talk show hosts and the weather correspondents. The images provide a visual for how much each place along the river was affected. There is also a picture of the Dugan home from February 14th, 1937 as well as biographical information on Harry Dugan, who was from Jeffersonville, Indiana. Dugan entered the Navy in 1918; after his discharge, he attended Purdue University for mechanical engineering. He worked for Nickel Plate Railroad and Toledo Terminal. Dugan lived in Lima, Ohio in 1937 but his parents lived in Jeffersonville.
