A Former Diplomat’s Perspective on the Crisis in Ukraine

Ambassador Tod Sedgwick, who experienced the 2014 Ukraine-Russian crisis when he served our country as the Ambassador to Slovakia from 2010-2015, will present his perspective on the current crisis between Ukraine and Russia, and debunk Vladamir Putin’s false idea that Ukraine is part of Russia. Tod is a graduate of Harvard College and spent most of his professional career in Washington, D.C., publishing news and data primarily for the energy industry. He is also a White House-appointed Commissioner on the World War I Centennial Commission, which educates Americans on the US role in the Great War.

Tod Sedgwick served as Ambassador to Slovakia under President Obama from 2010 to 2015. He serves on the board of Foreign Policy for America and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems and is affiliated with the Atlantic Council. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
